Chicago: Friday 28 March at 4:30pm-- Kluczynski Federal Building (northwest corner of Jackson and Deaborn)
Today the Third Circuit Court of Appeals issued a decision upholding Mumia Abu-Jamal’s frame-up conviction. In turning down Mumia’s appeal for a new trial, the Court ordered a new sentencing hearing to decide whether he is again to be sentenced to die or condemned to the living death of life in prison.

The Court’s decision is another slap in the face to all opponents of racist injustice. Recalling the infamous Dred Scott decision, the Court has again declared that a fighter for black freedom like Mumia has no rights that the courts are bound to respect. A former Black Panther Party spokesman, MOVE supporter and renowned journalist, Mumia is an innocent man, framed up for his political beliefs. He should never have spent a day in prison. There must be mass protests, centered on labor’s power, to demand his freedom now.

The PDC and Labor Black Leagues have called protests for tomorrow in different cities.

yeah, organized by the Spartacus League. that'll be real constructive. on the other hand, perhaps experienced counter-recruitment activists should go to save passersby who get duped into buying an issue of the Workers Vampire

Look, I do not agree with the Spartacus League on a lot of things. However, it is a positive thing for anyone to organize a protest in favor of Mumia. It is an act of sectarian bullshit to denounce the action simply because you disagree with the group that organized it. I will not be there simply because I can't, but I salute them for doing it.
--devoted Stalinist, willing to debate the Sparts endlessly on what happened in the 30s, but willing to march next to them in support of Brother Mumia, a brave revolutionary that the fucking ruling class, the real enemy, wants to MURDER!

The point is NOT unity between Stalinists and Trots--the point is unity in support of Brother Mumia--who is innocent, and who has been persecuted for his revolutionary political activities in the Black Panther Party. Everyone, of whatever particular political persuasion here, should take action in support of Mumia. If you don't like the Sparts or the Stalinists, or the Maoists, or the liberals, or whoever--do your own action, write a letter, wear a button, do SOMETHING to oppose the government's continuing efforts to try to execute Mumia. Also, yes, the death penalty IS racist, and that point needs to be made too.

That is a very easy one.
Arnold Beverly has CONFESSED to doing so.
The courts have refused to hear this evidence, DESPITE:
1. a confession by Beverly that he killed officer Faulkner, and that Mumia did not do so.
2. The clearly unconstitutional exclusion of many African-Americans from the jury pool from the jury.
3. A "hanging" judge who had it in for Mumia.
4. A trial filled with errors and with political attacks on Mumia for his Black Panther Party activities and revolutionary opinions.
You can actually watch the video of the confession on-line. These facts are well known to the courts involved, and to the mainstream media, which have been suppressing the truth. There also are some newly discovered photographs from the date Mumia was arrested.

Wow, what a compelling video. I almost couln't tell he was reading. So the answer is the mob and some other cops killed the cop. Why didn't they kill Mumia and Beverly also, you know, like in the movies.
