Video of extended "testimony" for Chicago FCC hearing, Sept. 20
The FCC will hold a media ownership hearing in Chicago on Thursday, September 20 (at Operation PUSH, 930 E. 50th St., in Chicago).
The hearing will feature a number of panels, but the panels will likely be filled with celebrities and corporate media executives. Not very likely to have any grassroots media producers, citizen activists, or anyone who is actually affected by the proposed rule changes to allow fewer companies to own more media properties.
If I got my chance to be a panelist at the Chicago FCC hearing on Sept. 20, 2007, with five minutes to speak, here's what I'd say:

Nevertheless, the hearing will have time for public comment, and a number of trainings are scheduled for Chicago. More details are available here:
