The protest will begin at 4 PM, when the doors open, but if you can't get there until after 5 PM, please attend anyway (their debate begins at 6 PM).

Americans are overwhelmingly against the Iraq war. The rest of the world, even more so.
But more than 4 years into the war, politicians of both parties have done little more than talk about ending it. Crucially, they have continued to vote funding for the war while critical needs at home — healthcare, housing, education, transportation — go unmet. In Bush-like form, all leading Democratic candidates refuse to take a pre-emptive attack on Iran off of the table.

Tuesday's protest is being convened by the Chicago Coalition Against War & Racism and ChicagolandCodePINK. It's co-sponsored by ANSWER Chicago; the Chicago Socialist Party; Chicago North Progressive Democrats of America; the Gay Liberation Network; Hammerhard Media Works; Hyde Park Committee Against War and Racism; International Action Center - Chicago / Troops Out Organizing Center; Military Families Speak Out – Chicago; Neighbors for Peace; the North Shore Coalition for Peace and Justice; the Peace Coalition of Southern Illinois; and the Peace Majority Report.
