As chief of an invasion which has killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and over 3,300 Americans, Pace recently had the gall to label Lesbians and Gays "immoral" in order to justify employment discrimination in the military.

The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business has toadied up to the military by inviting Pace, leader of one of its historic failures, to keynote at an annual conference the school is holding at the Hyatt. If it wasn't for cozying up to the military, inviting someone like Pace to speak to future managers would make about as much sense as inviting the head of the Enron account for Arthur Andersen.

Over 30 groups ranging from University of Chicago Queers and Associates to CodePINK to the Gay Liberation Network will be protesting Pace and his sponsors, the University of Chicago and Harris Bank, with a combination of "straight" protest and political humor including:

* Tin pot generals behaving badly;

* A tuneful rendition of the Marine Corps Hymn, with appropriate alternative lyrics (before leading the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Pace was head of the Marine Corps);

* "Onward Christian Soldiers," as sung by the Pace Family Players, with alternative lyrics provided by the Industrial Workers of the World -- Pace cited his "Christian" beliefs to justify employment discrimination against gays.
