Haven't checked the signs the asshole attacked yet, but we were told when they were picked up, no real damage was done.

Sadly this whole event could have been avoided had more people been there. Two of our regulars were not there. And it is nothing but amazing that over 500 people a month honk, wave, thumb's up and flash the peace sign, but rarely does anyone join us. Always said that most americans don't feel strongly enough against the war to protest it. And now we finally found a lunatic for the war, who tried to prevent our protest. As Bob said, this fool left his car in the middle of Milwaukee Ave. for over 15 minutes. What driver would do that? Don't believe he even got a ticket for this reckless trafic violation, despite my repeated efforts to get the cops to ticket him..

In fact the asshole flagged down a cop to try to get me arrested for calling him chickenshit because he supported the war but wouldn't go to fight it. He got to the cop before me. Whatever the lunatic said, the cop drove off in just a few seconds. Came up behind yelling to the cop to wait. Had that cop ticketed his car or atleast forced the A-Hole to move it, perhaps the incident would't have happened. Don't expect help from the Serve and Collect crowd.

We are slightly concerned the lunatic might be back some saturday. This is the reason for a call for more people to join us for atleast a few weeks. Maybe if you come to our protest, you might like it! This was an attack on the peace movement as a whole. Please help us out.

Hey Hey, As the victim reports, this incident "Did" happen. Bob is a great guy and we look forward to seeing him Friday at the Pace protest and Saturday at Northside Peace Gathering.
