The University of Illinois finally dumped "Chief Illiniwek" today. The decision was a long time coming, and anti-racist activists on campus and elsewhere can celebrate.
But the Chicago group blog The Pagan Science Monitor asks the question, "What if racist sports mascots were about Jews, not American Indians?"
