Innocent until proven guilty. Doubting the media's and government's word isn't "playing the race card."
"Innocent until proven guilty" means:
Just because the government puts out
an eight-page press release saying that a Chicago alderman traded money for favors don't make it so.
Years of stories in the local
COMA (corporate media) that have been all on about Arenda Troutman's alleged ties to gangsters (not to mention her
fur coats) ain't proof in court.
Engouraging speculation that
she cheats on her real-estate taxes may be a fair shot, but it may also be irrelevent to the charges she is actually facing.
And asking everybody to take a deep breath and let the lady actually get her due process under law
AIN'T "playing the race card," even if one of the
more exasperatingly unoriginal local COMA pundits wants you to
think that it is.
Goodness sake, could it be possible that — gasp! — the FBI might be capable of a racially or politically motivated investigation? Asking the question shouldn't be called "playing" anything. It's called using your critical thinking skills.
