Defending Civil Liberties and Resisting the Empire
A Forum with Hamid Dabashi
The Bush regime and its supporters have declared a period of endless war, including a possible war on Iran. At the same time, they’ve mounted an escalating attack on the core freedoms that make dissent – and resistance – possible. Join us for a forum with Hamid Dabashi, one of the nation’s foremost progressive Iranian scholars and most passionate critics of the neocon agenda.
Including a special presentation by Iranian feminist Golbarg Bashi.
With antiwar activist Andy Thayer. • Moderated by Joleen Kirschenman.
When: 7PM • Thursday • November 9
Where: DePaul University Lincoln Park Campus - Monroe Hall • 1st floor
2312 N. Clifton Ave. • Chicago
Wheelchair accessable, non-smoking. Accessible via public transporation by CTA Red Line or Fullerton bus. | Download the PDF Flyer
