Info About the Immigrant Rights March Currently in Progress

The 55-mile march began in Chicago's Chinatown on Friday, and will end up with a rally at Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert's office on Monday. Besides getting widespread local coverage on Friday, the event got significant national coverage. Below are details of the march's itinerary for Sunday and Monday.
Sunday Sept. 3rd: Starting at The Islamic Foundation Mosque in Villa Park at 9:00 AM, the march will pass along Roosevelt Road through Villa Park, Lombard, Glen Ellyn and Wheaton heading north down President St. for a rally at Wheaton Bible Church at 12:45 PM, later taking President St. north to Harrison, Harrison west to Gary Ave. and marching north down Gary to Geneva Road. Marchers will continue on through Wheaton down Geneva Road to West Chicago where marchers will arrive at 6 PM (est) at St. Mary's Catholic Church to sleep and for dinner and a program in Downtown West Chicago at 140 N. Oakwood Ave: total 14 miles

Monday Sept. 4th: Starting at St.Mary's Catholic Church at 9:00 AM marchers will march west down Geneva to Washington, from Washington marchers will turn south onto Fabayan Parkway heading into Batavia, the march will turn off Fabayan west onto Washington Ave. for a rally at the offices of Dennis Hastert in downtown. Estimated time of arrival 12:30 PM: total 7 miles
