The Chicago police attacked a group of anarchists who broke past a metal barricade at the haymarket memorial in haymarket square, after a breakaway march from the main protest.

Police reacted by beating the protesters, grabbing them and running bikes into them. They stabbed a female protester in the face with a flag pole and hit an old lady. There was one arrest but then they were released and the anarchists left the scene.
