The idea that although not all Muslims are terrorists (oh, gee thanks), all terrorists are Muslims, is also part of a current organized campaign against Muslims. Not a month ago, three Cuban-American terrorists were sprung from jail in Panama under suspicious circumstances and were welcomed back by President Bush's creepier allies in Florida. Among other things, those people were accused of planning the bombing of the University of Panama when Cuban President Fidel Castro was going to speak there. The explosion would have killed hundreds of Palestinian students also. Not only are "not all terrorists Muslim", the US and Israel have both got dirty hands in fomenting and supporting terroirst acts, when it has suited them to do so. Unless, of course, terrorism is only terrorism when you do it to me, not when I do it to you. The idea is to condemn all terrorism as a tactic, and finally deal with the Palestine issue in terms of the reality of the situation.

Don't even bother engaging with nonsense like this. It doesn't really matter when the name "Palestine" originated, or whether it has any applicability to any given situation.

What matters is the right to self-determination. Even assuming (solely for the sake of argument) that "Palestinian" was a term adopted only yesterday by the people in the occupied territories, that doesn't affect their right to self-determination. That right is inherent in their humanity (the same holds true for the Israeli people.)

Both peoples have the right to self-determination, whatever the history of the terminology used by them. An attack on Palestinian self-determination is an attack on the very principle of determination. These people are so blinded by their bias that they apparently don't realize that the arguments they make would de-legitimize the claim the Israeli people have to self-determination.

'Palestinian' self determination only came into existence when the combined Arab nations lost the Six Day War...
When the PLO attacked the Kingdom of Jordan (which in reality sits on 80% of the palestine Mandate) the Jordanians massacred them. Today's 'palestinians' are a hodgepodge of arabs from 22 various arab nations. The vast majority only arrived in the region AFTER Israel was created, seeking jobs.
Regardless, groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad aren't interested in the principal of 'self determination'. They're interested in destroying israel.

Arab lands stretch from Morocco in the West to Iraq in the East... from Syrian in the North to Sudan in the South. And what's the size of the Jewish Nation? The "right of return" is a nothing but anti-Jewish propaganda. Let's not forget that Israel received 800,000 Jewish emigres that left the Arab world because of rampant discrimination.

Invective and rhetoric aside, what are the real issues here?
1. Was there or was there not an indigenous population in the area now called Israel, Gaza and the West Bank during the late 1800's when the idea of creating a Jewish homeland in that area first began to be actively pursued? Or was the land sitting empty? Though there have been some apologists for the Israeli government policies who have claimed the land was empty, this is refuted by many other sources including early founders of Israel in their correspondence and public writing, in which the topic of discussion was "what do we do with the indigenous Arabs?". There were fierce polemics among different factions of the founders of Israel, with positions ranging from "expel them" to "let's create a joint Arab-Jewish democratic state". (By the way, I don't read Arabic so 90% of my sources on the above are Israeli).
2. What was this population? There was a small longstanding Jewish population even then, but a larger population that was Arabic speaking and was either Christian, Moslem or Druze by religion. There were (and are) still a few Aramaic speakers, Aramaic being the language spoken there at the time of the Roman empire. This was not an "alien" population that did not belong, it was the indigenous population of the area. The DNA studies I mentioned in my first post suggest that at a distance of 2,000 years, ancestors of at least some modern Palestinian arabs and some modern Diaspora Jews formed one gene pool. This undermines the idea that the Palestinians are not indigenous, and also, incidentally, the idea that modern Jews are descended from the Khazar Turks and not from Middle Eastern populations. So the idea that Palestinians have no case because they were not indigenous to the area is refuted. Of course 2,000 years ago everybody more or less was speaking Aramaic and did not switch to Arabic until the Arab-borne Muslim expansion of 600 AD or so, but "Arab" is a linguistic category, and it is quite possible that descendents of people in the area who were originally Aramaic speaking Jews end up as part of the population now speaking Arabic and of Moslem or Christian religion. A lot can happen in two thousand years. All kinds of different strands probably go to form the total ancestry of both Palestinian Arabs and Jews originally of the diaspora and now settled in Israel, plus their descendents.
3. Was the non-Jewish population then displaced, as a result of Jewish settlement? Of course it was. and claims by apologists for the Israeli right wing that these people don't exist, or never were there, or floated in from the desert, etc. are bound to raise fears that the plan is to displace even more. It may be that they only call themselves "Palestinians" recently, but they are still people who either have been pushed out of the lands of their birth, or are oppressed within those lands.
4. What is the priority to push for now? A peaceful solution that would provide for wecurity, prosperity and respect for national feelings of all concerned, both Israeli Jews and Palestinian Arabs. Just as it is not useful (to put it mildly) to pretend that the Palestinians don't have roots in Palestine, one can not ignore the fact that there is now an Israeli Jewish community several generations deep who have rights also. But who is getting stepped on hardest now are the Palestinians, whose situation is desperate. Suicide bombings and other targeting of unarmed civilians can not be morally justified, but nor can the continual expansion of the settlments, the demolition of houses, etc. by the Israeli regime. The great tragedy is that the extreme behavior on one side plays into the extreme behavior on the other: The more Sharon blows up houses and pushes settlements (and his allies on the ultra-right hint about throwing all the Palestinians out of their homeland) the more Hamas is strengthened, and vice versa.
5. What is our responsibility? f By "we" I mean people who do not live in that area, but who live, pay taxes and vote in the USA. We can not ignore the fact that the Israeli government could not do what it does without the massive material support of the United States. As US citizens, we need to speak out to demand that our government take a stand to end Sharon's oppression of the Palestinians, if any chance of a peaceful solution is to be salvaged. That we also denounce suicide bomgings is also necessary and appropriate, but where we have leverage is with our own government and its one-sided policies.

Many of the so-called "Palestinians" settled the region after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. In essence, the "Palestinians" are Arabs that decided to misuse a Biblical term to justify the possession of the newly invaded territory. In any case: Isreal should leave the Gaza Strip and most of the Westjordan. As far as I am concerned, Egypt should take over the Gaza Strip and Jordan can take over the Westjordan. The Dean of Students, homosexual organizations, colleague faculty, -- regularly communicate using email, and cell phones, and stalk DESIRED STUDENTS for recruitment -- and campus security regularly monitors on there behave (lecture classes that all have TV monitors designed by DePaul U’s computer department CTI (most flagrant violator) that can be “piped” into private offices to single out specific students who are over achievers, physically attractive and especially target Black Males who aligned them selves with the moral high ground that encompasses all of the previously mentioned behavior and physical traits.

They all know that I will turn state evidence against them for these audacious immoral atrocities.





I have sent a number of letter about this problem to the local Chicago media only to receive blasting sirens out side my window every time I submit e-mail, stalking a surveillance from suited up and under cover officers and down to Comcast cable truck and vans and undesignated vehicle out site my residence window at home as a result of my bono fide and honest efforts to upend and eradicate and receive help for these misguided and wrongful acts of surveillance of course BY law officials. Hell, it looks like it’s easer for them to try to “get” or “plant” – THEY LOOK IN TO MY COMPUTER PC WHEN I’M ON THE INTERNET, LOOK I’M A COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJOR, I’M TIRED of REMOVING THE SPY WARE. I have sent a number of letter about this problem to the local Chicago media only to receive blasting sirens out side my window every time I submit e-mail, stalking a surveillance from suited up and under cover officers and down to Comcast cable truck and vans and undesignated vehicle out site my residence window at home as a result of my bono fide and honest efforts to upend and eradicate and receive help for these misguided and wrongful acts of surveillance of course BY law officials. Hell, it looks like it’s easer for them to try to “get” or “plant” – THEY LOOK IN TO MY COMPUTER PC WHEN I’M ON THE INTERNET, LOOK I’M A COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJOR, I’M TIRED of REMOVING THE SPY WARE. I’M NOT DONG ANY THING AGAINST THE LAW -- any thing on the little man, but no one wants to do any thing to STOP the harasser (OR big kkkahuna )who are committing these low down violations of civic and federal law. If law enforcement went after big the kkkahuna who is causing the problems in the first place, rightfully charge try and convict them like the Greek Lawyer Euthephro did of his father when advising charged ill mannered Socrates for corruption of the nations male collegian youth in Athens, that would simply mean that I finally did an honest day of work at the public eXpense [sic]. If this happened I’d with out hesitation withdraw and promptly end my civil rights violation complaints against Catholic school DePaul University FORthwithly.

As a result of a series of letter that I have submitted to the investigative unit of TV channels 2, 5, 7, 9, 32 of sex for grades, and sexual harassment against my person emanating and evolving from faculty, administrators, campus security and students of the gay/lesbian Dean of Student chartered organization on both campuses at both DePaul and Roosevelt Universities, the FBI and Chicago Police Department, and maybe even the US Justice Department, have launch a federal investigation and probe in to the charges of academic impropriety at these schools, particularly DePaul's CTI computer school and Liberal Arts Department where I am enrolled starting this year.



Attached are most of the letters that I have shared with the aforementioned investigative units.



Moreover, I have talked to the FBI intake agent’s in regards to the above scandal that originally kicked off the federal investigation.



I have filled charges with the Illinois Department of Human Rights of sexual harassment against two university professors at Roosevelt University, and against three professors at DePaul University, the most flagrant violator of my civil and human rights, -- IDHR only conducts hearings and recognizes charges against professors. These civil rights violations reach as high as the Dean of Students Office which, contraDictorily [sic], hears such complaints. And it may go up to as high as several department head Vise Presidents and even the newly installed school president office himself of both DePaul and Roosevelt Universities.



In summary the sexual/racial violations at both universities, under ground facetious and far right hate groups are working under the aegis and cover of gay and lesbian organizations that are controlled and given charters of operation and existence by university administrators and faculty at both schools. I have been targeted for recruitment according the one security officer at DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus at the behest of faculty and school administrators. I was even told by a another school security officer that “the administration is behind harassing you and there is nothing that you can do about it, so you might as well give up so we can start having sex.” I am not playing and this is not a joke to me. When I was in my second week at DePaul U. a Professor of Biology told me up in my face that he wanted to have sex with me while I was just standing out side the door of the Bio Lab waiting for the Teacher Assistant (who made sex advances to me all term, acting as a liaison, he latter told me, on the behave of the Cell Bio professor) to open the Door. When I was also approached in the same manner by the effeminate Dean of Student Services, see letter of complaint, who told me that “gay people had a right to exist as an entity.” But he does not recognize that a straight man has rights also.
