Scenes from the Raid on May Molina's Home
Beginning with one of the two doors battered in by police Monday night, below are photos showing how they ransacked two apartments during the raid which ultimately resulted in May Molina's death.
A source in the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said today that preliminary results of Molina's autopsy said she had six packets of heroin in her esophagus and stomach. Rather than supporting police suggestions that she was a "drug fiend," this suggests that the drugs were stuffed in her well AFTER she was in police custody, and that police responsibility for her death is far more severe than mere medical neglect.
Any foreign object in the esophagus is either involuntarily swallowed or expelled within minutes. If Molina truly was trying to "swallow the evidence" at the time of the raid, there is no way "the evidence" would have remained in her esophagus for the 28-1/2 hours she was in custody before she died. The only conclusion that one can reach is that this was murder.

The devastation you see above is typical of a raid by a Narco squad (the hot dogs of the CPD) when they want to send a message to someone.
I doubt if they set out to kill her (but I wuoldn't put it past them.) I can imagine the scene in the interrogation room:
"Oh shit, she's out cold!"
"Fuck -- she aint breathing."
"Goddamnit! There's gonna be beefs all over this broad."
"I can take care of that" [stuffs packets of heroin down her throat]
"Let her get cold before you call this in."
Fucking bastards.

May was a threat because she was organizing community. Let's remember that, because that's what we need to do. Community is the anti-thesis of the corporate capitalism the CPD serves to protect. Money can't be made when communities look out for eachother, only when we are divided into our cells.
May's death is on the hands of every developer and yuppie that desire to continue the gentrification of this entire city. It was for their benefit that May was murdered. They would just as well have the whole poor populace moved out of Chicago onto isolated suburban plantations so they can enjoy Chicago: Playground of the Rich.
May is a good hero, let us learn from her.
