Okay, these are random snapshots I made at July 4ths We The Media party benefit. It was a great time and was a great way to spend a holiday I have troubles with.

I spent the night of the third sitting on a friends rooftop drinking beer and watching fireworks randomly erupt all around Chicago. I used to be awed by them but now I have visions of Iraq and Afghanistan being bombed. I think of the International's reports, bombs exploding near and far. So I don't feel an awe of them, not even a shock, mostly a sadness and a sense that there's disturbed people out there. Mind you, I'm not a wimp afraid of things.

But the We The Media celebration was a great time to have fun and meet more new awesome people. The food was good, same with the bands. Labor Beat showed one of their current films.
