Oldest Republic?

I was puzzled by his comment "we are still the oldest republic in the world". To me this is symptomatic of the broad parochialism affecting the USA populace. Most USA citizens seem to think that the USA is the sole source of all things good, and this attitude contributes hugely to the clever propaganda of the elite in leading your nation down the path of totally self-interest greed on a global scale.
So, what about republics like Switzerland (710 years old) and Iceland? Switzerland in particular seems to have a good model for a republic that has worked well for centuries.

Looks like this is going to be true:
"Q.) Why can't we vote him out of office?
Ans.)Because we didn't vote him IN"
Votes will be 'FOR' PNAC's from now on IF HE ISN'T IMPEACHED!!! N-O-W!
