From the American Heritage Dictionary:

Coerce
From Latin coercēre, to control, restrain (co- + arcēre, to enclose, confine)
1. To force to act or think in a certain way by use of pressure, threats, or intimidation; compel.
2. To dominate, restrain, or control forcibly.
3. To bring about by force or threat.

Nobody at Holy Name was forced to do anything, therefore your arguement is invalid. They did, in fact, ask. It's not like they kidnapped anybody or dropped laser-guided munitions on a place of worship. That's stricly the US military's bag.
