I'm from NYC. I'm sorry about your loss on 9/11. But I have to say, you Midwesterners are more pissed off about 9/11 and more paranoid about immigrants and other people of color than anyone else I've ever seen. We east-coasters suffered a lot of loss on that day, but we aren't interested in the type of jingoistic nationalism that the rest of America is hellbent on engaging in.

At the same time, you fail to look in the mirror at our own complicity in American terrorism, and you ignore America's history of atrocities and its support for terrorists (The CIA helped create the Taliban and Al Qaeda, don't forget, and Bin Laden was one of their guys) terrorist regimes (Iraq in the '80s, Chile, Saudi Arabia, China, just to name four).

The best thing about America is the history of rebellion of its own citizens and others subject to its rule against tyrrany from individuals and institutions in positions of power. That includes ordinary people speaking out against the hypocrisies of both the Democrats and Republicans.

But you reactionary right-wingers are a hoot.
