It's not ok. Skinheads are skinheads just as Nazis are Nazis. Since popular culture identifies the shaven heads and tattoos with racism, it's completely ridiculous to go into the history and pretend that this style doesn't stand for anything racist. I could wear a swastika and say it's for good luck (the original meaning) but it's still going to piss people off. In the end, you are what you pretend to be. I have no sympathy for this violent culture. If you want to be a skinhead, you risk being treated like a racist. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck.
