We can't possible compare these times with those of hundres of years ago. Obviously! But please remember that our ancestors did not "assimilate" to the Indian culture that was here before anyone else. What did they do? They tried to bring in their religion and beliefs to my Indian ancestors. Also, in case you have forgotten these "Mexicans" were here in this land before any European settlers came to this land. Please let's not be ingnorant about the past and really acknowledge the facts.
