But then again, Judith LeBlanc of the CPUSA is also Co-Chair of UFPJ - will she continue in that role? Will UFPJ continue to support the demand for immediate withdrawal and an end to funding for the war - despite the CPUSA and MoveOn.org's latest endorsement of the Pelosi Bill? Who knows? I sure as hell hope so. But you might want to consider getting your own house in order before provding sage advice to the rest of the antiwar movement. And you might want to pay attention to exactly what is happening inside the Out of Iraq congressional caucus to whip antiwar Dems into line. With friends like the MoveOn.org leadership and their cheerleaders in the rightwing of the antiwar movement, is it any wonder spines are in such short supply in Congress?
For those groups like the CPUSA who were not actually supportive of the two demands of March 20 - stop funding the war and occupation and troops home now -- it might have been a bit more principled and honest to actually spell that out -- as this 4th anniversary editorial does. To requote Amilcar Cabral (one of my favorites as well) 'Tell no lies, claim no easy victories' To that, I'd add "Don't piss on my leg and then tell me it's raining"
