Look, I am an artist. I am white. I would like cheap rent but I am not about to move into Pilsen and make it more romantic and safer for rich land developers and daring, adventurous types with money to go slumming and pick up some nice real estate to make better lives on the backs of poor communities. Gentrification destroys communities that have a right to exist.
