Japanese kids play games much more violent than the ones American kids play. Given the amount of violence in some video games here that's kind of amazing. Japan however, does not suffer from the same type of violent culture that we have here. Canada has the same video games, and guns as well. In Canada however, there is not the violence that there is here. It's conceivable to me that the video games may in some small way help exacerbate the violent tendencies of our people but they're are clearly not a causal factor and not one serious sociological study has indicated that much. Video games are as likely to cause violence as rap music is likely to cause gang violence. It's our sick society Greg, not video games.
