Carl - it's one thing to cajol the Mayor into signing a human rights petition - which he'll probably disavow the moment there is any publicity. Quite another to slavishly kiss the collective butts of the 5th floor and the Democratic machine in this town.

By the bye, how many of the peace voters you've registered will be out on the streets on Nov 3 against the war? - no matter who wins? Inquiring minds want to know
