A young womyn from the ISO (I'm assuming) handed me a flyer the other day for an event coming up called "The Case For Socialism". While I am not a supporter of the ISO's particular understanding of socialism the event itself is not the problem.
On this flyer they've included a picture of Aaron in a hooded sweatshirt with a very subdued expression on his face. There is no mention of Aaron on the flyer, no mention of the struggle against police brutality and racism, and no connection at all between the event and the photo. To add insult to injury Aaron is not a socialist and he despises the ISO for screwing him and his family over while he was still wrongfully imprisoned.
So then why are they exploiting his image and struggle in such a shady and racist manner?
