It should also be noted that true-to-form democrats like Jesse Jackson Jr., Mayor Daley, Jan Schakowsky, Bobby Rush and Obama himself each went to great lengths to verbally and publically sell out the antiwar movement at the convention. They each said that there is no place on the DNC floor for antiwar sentiment or even discussion. They indicated that there is enough negativity and division on that issue already, which they said was in the past, that they weren't going to criticize Bush or the republicans for taking us to war or screwing up the nation in other ways, and that the Democratic party, the DNC and the good ol' USA should be focusing on the future and more positive things like getting to know John Kerry. Hillary Clinton and Richie Daley seemed quite cozy sitting next to one another in their VIP balcony seats. As for Obama, Mr. Rising Star, the supposed future of the democratic party, is also an ardent support of the Apartheid State of Israel. You'll forgive me if I don't jump on the Obama bandwagon. Read his speech carefully and you'll detect some underlying views of interest.

So this is the alternative?

On a side note, Tamara Hall of FOX News said that Kerry looked like a dork in that photo of him at NASA and the other newscasters almost lost it. I did too. I wonder how much of a reprimand she got for speaking the truth. Too bad they had nothing to say about the suppression of an issue of great concern to many voters, the war and repression at home.
