If you've been paying attention recently, then you know that the UFCW has been struggling pretty fiercely against the "big guys".

But it's real nice of you to try to blame unions for the trend toward monopolization among grocery retailers. I don't suppose you'd want to examine how the basic functioning of capitalism encourage this process of consolidation, would you?
