The corporate media blathered on and on before the Saturday event about a necessary cops presence to prevent a "repeat" of last March 20. I didn't hear one, not one, propaganda trumpet report that all of those who were charged last year either had their charges dropped or were acquitted! And that many were never charged at all! Funny how these inconvenient facts get redacted from the official history.
And for all the talk about Lakeshore Drive being walked upon by war protesters, no one mentioned that only 4 months later, the Drive was blocked by spectators watching an Independence Day fireworks display. Why, one might think that celebrating US empire is OK, while protesting it is not!
And Santa goes bob, bob, bobbing along Michigan Avenue. Or maybe its Mickey Mouse. Why is this OK, but war protesters are not? Anything goes to promote market madness, but naysayers to the death dealing president Liar and Killer and his Democrat mafioso are not fit family fare for Michigan Avenue?
