Stopped by to see him tonight. Not sure he recognized me, he DID recognize and remember Marguerite, and knew Tom Wilson immediately when he came in later. Also recognized Ted P., who also came in later. Still quite confused, but did ask that we tell people to 'relax' about his situation. Nurse thinks he may be moved to a regular room in a couple days. Could use music (and something to play it on); can't write yet (writes backwards and only scribbles), has trouble stringing thoughts together, but nurse notes that bolts in his head to relieve pressure from subdural hematoma have been removed and his brain swelling has gone down considerably. They have Dennis sitting upright in a chair, but in restraints because he keeps trying to remove his IV tubes. He is going to need our love and support for a good long while.
