Perhaps I was a bit hasty in using "news blackout". But in my defense, do you think the entire coverage of these two events totalled 18 minutes? Did any of these corporate outlets interview another union person, a city worker, a human rights activist, or someone from the Anti-Olympic Coalition of Vancouver BC?? Maybe they did, but what I saw from a couple local anchor people was a snarky, dismissive attitude of disbelief to the idea of not wanting the Olympis in Chicago.

That was my motivation, apologies to the other reporters that tried to push the story through their editors.
