Immokalee Workers Mobilize for April McDonald's Convergence

Watch out, Ronald!

The Coalition of Immokalee Workers, the Florida-based labor rights organization working to raise the wages of poor migrant workers, is mobilizing support for a major April convergence in Chicago.

The Coalition's focus, as it has been for the past year, is McDonald's — the world's top fast food franchise and beneficiary of tomatoes picked by Immokalee workers. And Chicago, home to the headquarters of McDonald's, has been the locale of numerous Immokalee-led actions.

The April mobilization is garnering momentum, as suggested by a planned midwest strategy and networking "encuentro" and some notable celebrity support. Read more | PDF Flyer
