Tommy Abina 37th Ward Alderman Campaign Reception 2/11/2011

Dear Friend/community/group leader, brothers and sisters,

It is with great pride and passion that I announce my candidacy to run for the office of Alderman in the 37th Ward in Chicago. With 19 years in public service, including 8 years in Cook County and 11 years in state government, I am very committed to providing leadership, trust, and integrity to making the 37thward attractive, safe and affordable. That is why I am asking you, to whom I share a unique bond, to consider making a donation to my campaign to help us maintain our momentum.

With your support, we will have a viable and vigorous campaign. And with your prayers and good wishes we shall ultimately be victorious together.

Please help to support my candidacy and encourage others to do so as well. Your donations and in-kind contributions will help secure our victory in the upcoming February 2011 election. Please send your contributions today:

Tommy Abina is committed to providing a leadership of trust and integrity. His over-riding goals are to make Chicago's west side attractive and affordable, create new jobs for the community (ex-offenders included), create after-school and recreational facilities for our children, and honor our senior citizens.

Mr. Abina is a traditional family man: he is married with four children. He has earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business & Marketing from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago, IL and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Governors State University, in University Park, IL. His experience includes over fifteen (19) years of public service in both county and state government plus many years in the private sector.

Currently, Tommy serves as Manager in the Administrative Hearings Office for the Illinois Secretary of State. His life experiences have helped him make good decisions and develop a common sense approach to very difficult issues.

Tommy Abina believes that every citizen of Chicago’s West Side shares a common bond by virtue of being taxpayers, be it property taxes or sales taxes. He believes that everyone should be able to reap the benefits of their hard work and the tax monies they pay. The strong faith he shares with his fellow West Siders helps shape his belief in an obligation to help the less fortunate, to strive to understand the harsh realities of mankind, and to foster compassion for those struggling in today‘s economy.

Please join Tommy in following a path that values our precious gift of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It is time to reclaim our community!
