health care for prisoners?

the shame of America
I pulled out my front tooth today. I know a lot of people will think that's a big deal, because the press made a fuss over how Gary Hilton pulled his own tooth with a pair of pliers. That's probably why he killed all those people. Bad teeth; multiple sclerosis. He did say he killed because he needed money, and he took the credit cards. Considering the price of medical and dental care, you shudder to think how many people he would have murdered just to get his teeth fixed, let alone get medical care for a major progressive disease. Good thing he got caught.
Pulling my own tooth was not all that painful, not compared to the 4 years worth of repeated abscesses that killed it. The infection is one that I got from my stay in a Georgia county jail. They refused to provide any treatment at all for my diabetes and the diet was all starch. In the two months I was there our blankets got washed once, we got clean clothes once a week and other inmates brought in all manner of infections and diseases Perfect place to get sick. Seems like a lot to pay for a charge that was dismissed. Or for room and board in a filthy building with spoiled food and abusive employees.
So I wonder, what kind of provisions does this health care bill make for prisoners? Being as how our nation locks up more of its people than any other civilized nation. Which is supposed to be pretty much all of them these days, they all have factories and big banks now. I hear we even lock up more than Russia, whom we used to look down on so much, during the cold war, for their oppressive treatment of just about everyone.
When you see mansions with 6 cars for a family with 4 members in it and then see homeless people who get arrested for trying to beg enough money for food, somehow the whole world seems corrupt.
I have met people who live in big beautiful houses and make a lot of money. They consider themselves to be peaceful, law abiding people and perfectly deserving of the material comforts they have. But how, you ask, do they keep all that stuff when there are homeless, hungry people and drug addicts everywhere? Well, it's because they have armed thugs to guard it for them, called police.
People who maintain a pile of wealth by hiring thugs to arrest any body else who needs it from getting any are not at all peaceful people. You might technically call them law abiding, because the laws of the land might allow this. But they are not by any means decent folk.
I have nothing against being rich. I would love to try it out myself. But face it, we wouldn't have such masses of unemployed, homeless and sick people if we didn't have so many greedy, heartless rich people sucking the blood and the life out of everyone they could get over on.
