A report will be presented about the efforts that both organizations are conducting to build support for the Ordinance.

We invite the Chicago City Council to include the Day Labor Chicago Ordinance in the agenda for the day. With so much support for the Ordinance, it should be clear when this Ordinance will be voted on. Many people’s livelihood depend on it and are interested in having a clear time line on when the Ordinance will be approved.

This action is taking place after a one-week Hunger Strike that both organizations put together, from March 4th to March 9th, 2002 to pressure Ald. Billy Ocasio and the City Council to bring the Ordinance back to visibility.
