Brazil: Governor calls censorship's judge for debate.

I started the good fight for democracy when I was a boy, in the university. Ajufe's note won't shut me up now and give up my ideals and my dream to live in a fair and democratic society .
Brazil: Governor Roberto Requião responds Ajufe's note and calls censorship's judge for debate.

Paraná State's governor Roberto Requião responded the note of the Association of Federal Judges of Brazil (Ajufe), claiming to be disappointed with the attitude of the Judge Walter Nunes da Silva Junior, president of the association. Requião also asked the judge for discussion at the School of Government of next Tuesday. Read below the full note of the governor of Paraná:

"I confess I am profoundly disappointed by the note of the Association of Federal Judges of Brazil - Ajufe. I expected a strong and clear demonstration against censorship around the country. And what I saw were strange considerations about myself. I expected the defense of right and true. I only saw corporate defense in the note.

Throughout my life I have fought against corruption, I have exposed the conflicts that exist between the institutions of the Republic. And this is what I do today, having been state deputy, mayor of our capital city, Curitiba, senator and governor for the third time.

The Ajufe compares the disproportion between the media of the governor and that of the federal judge who wants to restore the censure. Ajufe is wrong. Our government determined zero budget for communication in the last year and therefore do not have access to the media.

In addition, doctor judge of censorship, before I had knowledge of its order, gave interview to the powerful and nearly absolute Rede Globo and the CBN network of radio communication. I highlight here my absence in such networks.

Our response is limited to space in Parana Educativa, Paraná State's public television net while his note had the widest dissemination by such great press in the country. The difference is clear and shocking, you judge.

I started the good fight for democracy when I was a boy, in the university. Ajufe's note won't shut me up now and give up my ideals and my dream to live in a fair and democratic society .

So, I invite the judge Walter Nunes da Silva Junior, president of Ajufe to discuss with me about his attempt to reintroduce censorship in the country, next Tuesday, January the 22th , at the School of Government.

Brazilian people deserves a clean and honest debate about censorship in Brazil.

See you Tuesday, Doctor judge.

Governor Roberto Requião "
