After five months of downtime due to server troubles, the Reclaim The Streets! website has been completely rebuilt, and is better than ever. With the website being back online, planning for the next RTS! party in the summer of 2002 has begun.

The website is: www.rtstreets.org

The new website is full of new features and information. We have an automated newswire, a discussion board, a local events calendar, and tons of new information about globalization, freedom of speech, youth liberation, and more.

We encourage everybody to sign up for an account on the website. It's free, easy to do, and once you have an account, you can submit articles for the newswire, add events to the local events calendar, and submit links to the links page.

The Local Events Calendar is a listing of local events in the Chicago West Suburbs. If you have a band or if you're a DJ, or if you're an activist that wants to promote an upcoming event, post information about it to the Local Events Calendar.

The next Reclaim The Streets! is going to be huge, which is why we're starting the project so early. If you're interested in helping out with any aspect of the organizing, either send an email to rtstreets (at) onebox.com or join our mailing list by sending an email to:

rts-organize-subscribe (at) yahoogroups.com

Feel free to forward this email to whoever would be interested. We'll see you in the streets!
