Powell explain's the Bush Retoric

"When you have a president who speaks as clearly and directly as this," he
observed, "it takes time for people to absorb it, to understand what it means."

Bush has also struggled with the English language on the trip. At a stopover in
Anchorage Bush attempted to sell the virtues of drilling for oil in the arctic
wilderness by suggesting it could enrich the fortunes of Alaskan families.

"It's good for people to be able to put money on the plate - money on the table - so
they can feed their families," he said.

communication.

"When you have a president who speaks as clearly and directly as this," he
observed, "it takes time for people to absorb it, to understand what it means."
