Benefit for political prisoners this Saturday night

Come see two movies for $10 and help raise money to send young activists to Cuba for the international conference on freeing political prisoners!

Leonard Peltier, Mumia Abu-Jamal and Oscar Lopez-Rivera are only the best known of the many who have remained locked in U.S. prisons for decades because they struggled for justice. Tear Down the Walls will be an international human rights conference on winning freedom for U.S. held Political Prisoners in Havana, Cuba on March 27th-30th, 2002. Help support the movement to free all political prisoners!

$10 for two films:
"Eyes of the Rainbow", deals with the life of Assata Shakur, the Black Panther and Black Liberation Army leader who escaped from prison and was given political asylum in Cuba.
"Out: The Making of a Revolutionary", tells the story of the Laura Whitehorn a lesbian radical who served 15 years as part of the Resistance Conspiracy.

Alejandro Molina of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center and Lisa Brock of the Hands Off Assata Campaign will speak about the conference and the international struggle to free the political prisoners held by the U.S.
