Neighbors for Peace is an organization consisting of individuals dedicated to promoting peace around the world.
We Oppose the war in Afghanistan and other military invasions and bombings such as in Iraq.
We oppose the unjust detentions of people without charge and other losses of our civil liberties. We oppose Bush's executive order imposing the threat of secret military tribunals over millions of people in the U.S.A. We oppose ethnic and belief-based discrimination, profiling, and racism.
We stand for exploring and implementing peaceful alternatives to resolve the problems brought to bear by the Sept 11th tragedy and the events that followed.
Neighbors for Peace meets on Thursdays at 7:30pm at the St. Nicholas Rectory building, 806 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL
