You are invited to attend a Town Hall Gathering on September 23, 2006, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm at the University of Chicago’s International House, 1414 East 59th Street (59th and Dorchester). The 21st Century Foundation and the Chicago Black Men and Boys Initiative Strategic Planning Committee are hosting this one day Town Hall Gathering to deliberate on uniting our youth and adult community leaders from across the Chicago Metropolitan Area to analyze how American Public Policies have declared “WAR” on Black Men and Boys. Our plan is to strategize and create a comprehensive plan of action to counter these policies and practices. In essence, we must alter the effects that these policies have adversely impacted our Black families, communities, and culture.
