Sam Kosha, a board member of PGLO based in Toronto, will lead a discussion on the situation of Iranian gays inside and outside of Iran, and the threats of war against his country. LGBT people in Iran face severe repression, including execution, for being who they are.

PGLO has courageously spoken out for the rights of gay people in Iran, while at the same time opposing calls for military attacks on their country, recognizing that such attacks would do nothing to help Iranian LGBT people, and in Iraq, have in fact proven to be a complete disaster for all people, gay and straight.

The reception will be 7 to 9 PM, Friday, October 6th at the Gerber Hart Library, 1127 W. Granville Street, Chicago (1/2 block east of the "Granville" stop on the Red Line "el"). Suggested donation is $10 - $25 (more if you can!). Besides featuring remarks by Mr. Kosha, the reception will include light refreshments plus an audio visual presentation about the repression of LGBT people around the world.

On the following night, Saturday, October 7th, Mr. Kosha will join civil rights advocate Cliff Kelley and others for the 8th annual Matthew Shepard March. The rally will begin at 8 PM sharp, followed by a march out of Boystown into the "straight" Wrigleyville bar district, and then back to Boystown for a short closing rally.
