What’s Next in Struggle For Immigrants Rights?

In the wake of the biggest protest in the US history for the human and
political rights of immigrant workers, our struggle is only beginning.
Congress has put forward two bills for so-called “immigration reform”
that
would continue the scapegoating, harassment and second-class
citizenship of
immigrants living in the U.S. On May 1, millions of immigrant rights
supporters made their demands clear:

EQUALITY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!
No to Raids and Deportations!
No to the Militarization of the Border!
No to Temporary or “Guest” Worker Programs!
Legalization for All!

Come to this community forum to discuss the latest status of
immigration
reform, how the laws might affect you and your loved ones, and where
our
movement goes from here. Hear speakers and meet organizations on the
front
lines of the movement for immigrants rights and dignity.

Tras las protestas más grandes por los derechos humanos y políticos de
la
historia de Estados Unidos, apenas empieza nuestra lucha. El Congreso
de
EE.UU. ha propuesto dos proyectos de ley para la supuesta "reforma
migratoria", las cuales continúen los ataques, el hostigamiento y el
estatus
de segunda clase para los inmigrantes que viven en este país. El
primero de
mayo, millones de personas pro-derechos de los inmigrantes hicieron
saber
sus demandas en voz alta:

¡IGUALDAD Y JUSTICIA PARA TODOS!
¡Alto a las redadas y deportaciones!
¡Alto a la militarización de la frontera!
¡No al programa bracero de trabajadores temporales!
¡Legalización para todos!

Asista a este foro comunitario para discutir el estado de la reforma
migratoria ahora, cómo estas leyes pueden afectar a Ud. y a sus
familiares,
y hacia dónde va nuestro movimiento en el futuro. Escuche a oradores y
conocza las organizaciones que están en la lucha en el movimiento por
los
derechos y la dignidad del inmigrante.
