The handiwork of Israeli 'defense' actions in southern Lebanon: at top, 2-year-old Karim Qobeisi is treated in the southern Lebanese town of Nabatiyeh on Sunday, after he was injured in his home during an Israeli airstrike; below, Doaa, 7, right, wounded during an Israeli airstrike and rescued from the rubble of her destroyed family house in the southern Lebanese village of Ebba, meets with her two-year-old sister Batoul at the hospital in the village of Toul on Sunday July 16, 2006. Join us Monday at 11:30AM at the Federal Plaza, Dearborn and Adams in downtown Chicago, to picket supporters of this sort of Israeli aggression.
Monday Counter-protest: Stop Israel’s Attacks on Lebanon and Gaza
Monday, July 17th, 11:30 a.m.
Federal Plaza, Adams & Dearborn, Chicago
In a racist defense of Israel's recent attacks in Lebanon and occupied Palestine, the Jewish United Fund is holding a rally on Monday, July 17th at 12 noon at the Federal Plaza on Dearborn and Adams.
Our voices need to be louder than theirs. Join us for a counterprotest at 11:30 AM on Monday at the Federal Plaza.
Israeli apologists are defending attacks on civilians in both Lebanon and Gaza, on the Beirut airport and bridges and highways in Gaza and Lebanon. More than a hundred civilians have been killed in Lebanon alone, including 10 members from one family and 7 from another, while hundreds more have been injured. The Israeli military has also continued its violence in occupied Palestine, where over 85 civilians have been killed in Gaza and many more have been injured.
