The big, 48-state 21st Century Paul Revere Ride of 2006 gets a big what-for in its quick visit to Chicago.
The 21st Century Paul Revere Riders 2006 came to Chicago this past Saturday to call-up their troops for the race war: "The wetbacks are coming, the wetbacks are coming."
About twenty or so Revere Riders and local Minuteman activists picketed the Mexican Consulate in the brief visit by the cross-country trip, in their 20th stop in a trek that will take them to every state in the continental United States. After an especially weak visit to Minnesota and other states where large numbers of antifa progressives and radicals shut them down, there was no attempt to make speeches by the five-out-of-towners and their local allies.
Over one hundred and twenty pro-immigrant rights activists vastly outnumbered the small group, picketing on the other side of consulate entrance, with a collection of flags representing all of the nations of the world (including Panama!). Activists from Code PINK, UNITE HERE, APOC, the ISO, and several other anarchist, leninist and Chicano/Mexicano groups came together, and were happily disappointed at the low-turnout of the racist groups.
While this event was relatively more calm than the Minuteman engagement in Logan Square recently, there was one arrest by the police of a white anarchist youth, and the Revere racists definitely rode on with the lesson that their hate wasn't welcome in Chicago.
