While China is busily financing research and development of Alternative Energy systems the Bush Govt.is seeking more ways to make oil supplies more monopolized and expensive - and to entrench the U.S. economy's dependence on this profitable,corporate oil to the exclusion any kind of Alternative Energy that would give America more variety and energy independence.

The Bush Govt. has in effect abandoned the long term health of the U.S. economy for big,quick profits for the Oil Corporats in the short term!
