Along with the rest of America, we condemn the attacks of September 11, mourn the loss of life and feel anger at the injustice of innocent victims. But much of the substance and tone of the US government's response to these events has also troubled us. We fear that blind anger and violent retaliation will only result in further loss of innocent lives, both American and foreign, and perpetuate a destructive cycle of violence that has already gone on too long. We also do not believe that such violence will result in the enduring justice that most Americans are truly seeking.

Lend your support to the DuPage Peace Movement. Enjoy a wonderful evening of inspiring songs for Peace and Social Change. Meet folks who are dedicated to Peacemaking - right here in DuPage.

Dave Martin will be performing. A founding member of the DuPage Peace Through Justice Coalition, Dave has performed for audiences across the Chicago area for over 20 years. A guitar instructor at Chicago's renowned Old Town School of Folk Music, Martin performs for many Peace and Social Justice Organizations. He shared the stage with Pete Seeger at Pete's last 2 Chicago concerts. Dave served 3 years on the national steering committee for the People's Music Network for Songs of Struggle and Social Change and recently organized the Chicago Ad Hoc Peace & Justice Chorus.

Dave will be joined by accomplished violinist, Billy Oh. Billy is a student at Loyola and longtime friend of the Chicago Catholic Worker community.

Good folks, good singing and a good cause. We hope you will join us for this memorable concert.
