Illinois PIRG : Make sure power plants to clean up their act

Meeting announcement from PIRG about mercury emissions.
Governor Blagojevich's recently proposed power plant mercury emissions limits will benefit generations of Illinoisans--but only if they are enacted. That's why a coalition of community and public interest organizations has teamed up to host a public hearing on coal-fired power plant emissions. Join us, and help show the Governor, regulators, and power companies that we're serious about wanting old power plants to clean up their act.

What: Community Hearing on Coal-Fired Power Plant Emissions
When: Monday, February 13, 7:00 PM
Where: Dvorak Park, 1119 W. Cullerton Street in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago

Now is the time for Illinoisans to demand serious reductions in the harmful substances coming out of power plant smoke stacks. This is your chance to hear what elected officials think and tell them what you want. Please come, and feel free to bring your friends and co-workers.
