Help the Arab American Community Center rebuild in the wake of the December 3 arson attack. For more than twenty years, the Arab American Community Center has served as a meeting space and locus for progressive organizing in Chicago’s Palestinian and Arab communities.

On December 3, the Center was the target of an arson attack that gutted the offices of two important community groups as well as seriously damaging the building. The police are currently investigating to determine if the attack was a ‘hate crime.’ The Center and its tenants have received threatening emails and phone calls in the last three months, and staff was accosted on September 11 by an enraged white racist. Given the current political climate, where anti-Arab, anti-Muslim hate is widespread, including at official levels, all who believe in justice must take this attack seriously and respond accordingly. Help the Center and it’s nonprofit tenants rebuild in the wake of this attack.

Sponsored by the Chicago Coalition Against War & Racism. Labor donated.

Please make checks payable to the 8th Day Center for Justice, and write AACC in the note section. For more information or to R.S.V.P., contact the Coalition at 773-209-1187 by December 18.
