After a four year struggle, Albany Park day laborers successfully created an innovative alternative to the street corner hiring site where residents have met contractors for temporary hire for the past 16 years. The Albany Park Workers' Center is a worker-run hiring hall, training site, organizing hub, and cultural space for the im/migrant community.
