Attend a forum on WAR & RECESSION: What is the socialist alternative? —December 6 at Columbia College.

—In the wake of September 11, the U.S. government claims to make our world safer by terror-bombing Afghan civilians, sending in troops and threatening to broaden the war elsewhere.

—Meanwhile, Bush and Congress have handed over millions to corporations and have done nothing to help laid-off workers.

—The government talks of protecting democracy while they pass new repressive laws that curtail our freedoms.

—And while it spends billions for war it tells workers here to "sacrifice."

—How can the priorities of this society be changed to reach real social justice here and abroad? Come to this discussion about the possibilities for a socialist alternative to war, exploitation and recession.
