IBDAA Palestinian Folkloric Dance Troupe comes to Chicago:

The talented Ibdaa (Arabic for "to create something out of nothing") comes to Chicago from Dheisheh refugee camp in the West Bank. This troupe of dancers are undertaking a difficult journey from Palestine to come and tell us their story. They perform modern theatrical dance interwoven with traditional Palestinian debkeh coreography, poetry and song. All proceeds from this tour will be given to the Ibdaa Cultural Center in Dheisheh for their children's programming, women's cooperative and the camp's proposed first medical center. This national tour is sponsored by the Middle East Children's Alliance.
