FORUM: WHAT IS the socialist alternative to WAR?

How do we oppose this war and these racist attacks on our civil liberties? How do US policies harm workers abroad and at home? The antiwar movement that began in the wake of the September 11th attacks must answer these questions in determining the next step in stopping this vicious war.

FORUM: WHAT IS the socialist alternative to WAR?

The US continues the war after the fall of Kabul to the Northern Alliance. Bombing and massacres will not address the severe humanitarian aid crisis that threatens 7 million Afghans.

In the US, Bush signed the USA-PATRIOT Act to severely curtail civil liberties. John Ashcroft is advocating secret military tibunals for thousands of "foreign suspects"—using hearsay evidence and government spies.

Meanwhile, Bush and Congress have handed over millions to corporations and done nothing to help laid-off workers.

How do we oppose this war and these racist attacks on our civil liberties? How do US policies harm workers abroad and at home? The antiwar movement that began in the wake of the September 11th attacks must answer these questions in determining the next step in stopping this vicious war.

Come to this forum to discuss and debate the socialist alternative to this war.

7pm-Thurs. Dec. 7—Columbia College, 600 S. Michigan—Ferguson Theater, 1st Floor.
